Chef Alléno enters at Musée Grévin

On October 13, Yannick Alléno was inducted into the Musée Grévin. This honour celebrates the career of a chef who has established himself as one of the leading figures in contemporary gastronomy, thanks to his transformative vision of fine dining, his pioneering work on sauces, and the development of a Group with a presence in France and internationally.

‍

“I dreamed of it, and Grévin made it happen! As a Parisian, being welcomed into this iconic institution means so much to me. I was deeply moved by the craftsmanship of the artisans who created my figure. Their work resonates with my own profession as a chef. If this figure can inspire even a few young people to discover cooking and perhaps pursue a career in the culinary arts, I will be delighted,” says Chef Yannick Alléno.

‍

Trained alongside renowned chefs and Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, Yannick Alléno has spent more than thirty years rethinking the foundations of French cuisine. His pioneering work on sauces, extractions and fermentation has given rise to Modern Cuisine, an avant-garde approach rooted in the fundamentals of French culinary tradition while exploring new possibilities, always guided by an unwavering pursuit of flavour and precision.

‍

Since March 2026, Yannick Alléno has been the world's most Michelin-starred chef, holding 18 MICHELIN stars. Today, he leads 26 establishments employing more than 1,200 people. Pavillon Ledoyen in Paris serves as the Group's flagship property and is also the most Michelin-starred independent establishment in the world.

‍

From Paris to Monaco, London to Dubai, and Osaka to Lyon, Yannick Alléno continues to bring his contemporary vision of French cuisine to an international audience, driven by creativity, the transmission of knowledge and a collective commitment to excellence.

‍

This philosophy also finds expression through Les Chocolats de Yannick Alléno, the Maison he founded in 2021, where he applies the defining principles of his cuisine to chocolate-making. Through this approach, Yannick Alléno has created a new expression of gourmet chocolate, characterised by precise textures, the pursuit of perfectly balanced flavours and the creation of unexpected pairings.

‍

Beyond offering visitors the opportunity to encounter iconic personalities, the Musée Grévin invites them to enjoy truly exceptional experiences. Yannick Alléno now takes his place alongside some of the greatest names in French gastronomy, including Anne-Sophie Pic and Paul Bocuse.

He also joins personalities recently welcomed into the museum, such as Gautier Capuçon and Bad Bunny, reflecting a constantly evolving collection that captures the spirit of its time.

‍

Visitors will now be able to discover Yannick Alléno's lifelike wax figure and pose for photographs alongside him.

‍

To bring his likeness to life, the Musée Grévin's workshops brought together their artists and artisans over several months, notably sculptor Claus Velte. During the sittings, numerous measurements were taken to reproduce Yannick Alléno's facial expressions, posture and features with remarkable accuracy.

From eye colour and skin tone to hair and hand impressions, every detail was meticulously studied.

Natural hair was implanted strand by strand, while an ocular prosthetics specialist recreated his gaze. Every detail contributes to the striking illusion of reality that has become the hallmark of the Musée Grévin, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship and expertise of its artists and artisans.
